butterfly kiss

I feel from his lashes a butterfly kiss
my cheekbones keep burning with bliss
he's holding my hand and his eyes whisper love
our souls soon are soaring above

he said I remind him of a girl that he loved
not in this life but before
since then we're together whatever may come
and neither of us will conform

we met and he dared me to love and let go
his intellect sprouted my lust
he said though I’m pretty he most loves my soul
and thus he till now earned my trust

but sometimes fairytales end
and neither of us is to blame
I love you believe we well soon see again
your eyes will once more feed my flame

let them break every bone but together my love
our souls shall take flight and we'll soar...

I felt from his lashes a butterfly kiss
my cheekbones were burning with bliss
he held my dying hand and his eyes whispered love
our souls now are soaring above
